Overview
Mount Elgon is an extinct shield volcano on the Uganda–Kenya border, rising to 4,321 metres with Wagagai Peak as its highest point and featuring one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. Located mainly within Mount Elgon National Park, it has diverse vegetation zones ranging from montane forest to afro-alpine moorland and supports rich wildlife and numerous bird species. The mountain is an important water catchment area and holds strong cultural significance for local communities such as the Bagisu, who associate it with the Imbalu circumcision ceremony.

Day by Day Itinerary
ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
Upon arrival, you will be picked by our staff and transfer to the hotel. Check in for lunch depending on the arrival time. Spend a night

Travel fom Kampala to Mt Elgon National park
Depart kampala by 7am and drive to MT Elgon. Lunch will be en-route. Arrive at Riverine Resort in Bududa, a tranquil spot near the base of the mount Elgon. Check in at the resort, relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Hiking of Mt Elgon
After break first, you will be taken to the start point of the hking on motorcycles, you will start the hike through Bushiyi trail to DUBI CAMP that is surrounded by the breathtaking scenery and rich flora. Lunch break at Shilonko river camp at an elevation of 2900m above sea level.
Hiking Mt Elgon
After your breakfast, you will embark on the hike before 7am to Wagagai Peak 4321m above sea level. This is the peak of the mountain and it will give you very beutifull views including parts of kenya. After a good rest, you will descend to Dubi camp for overnight stay.

Descending Mt Elgon
End of Mount Elgon trekking experience. you will get to Bushiyi Ranger Post and exit. A certificate of accomplishment will be awarded .Motorcycles will be ready to pick us up to Riverine Resort for lunch. After lunch, you will journey back to Kampala
